The main cable uses a dual-ended 3.5mm adapter: a 3.5mm TRS male connector on the headphone side and a 3.5mm TRRS male connector on the microphone side. The TRRS end carries both stereo audio and microphone signals through one connection, making it ideal for laptops, controllers, phones, tablets, and other devices equipped with a compatible combination headset jack.
Integrated Boom Microphone for Clear Communication
Unlike a standard replacement headphone cable, Micera incorporates a dedicated boom-style microphone directly beside the headphone connection. This places the microphone closer to your mouth than an ordinary in-line microphone, making it better suited for gaming chat, conference calls, remote work, and other situations where clear voice pickup matters.
3.5mm TRS to 3.5mm TRRS Dual-End Design
Micera uses different pin configurations at each end to handle the headphone and source connections correctly.
The headphone end uses a 3.5mm TRS male plug, identifiable by its two insulating rings and three conductive sections. This side connects directly to the compatible Sony headphone input and carries the stereo audio signal.
The opposite end uses a 3.5mm TRRS male plug, featuring three insulating rings and four conductive sections. This combined headset connection carries left audio, right audio, ground, and microphone through a single 3.5mm jack, allowing both listening and voice communication through compatible devices.
PC Headphone & Microphone Splitter Included
For computers that use separate headphone and microphone ports instead of a single combination jack, Micera includes a dedicated 3.5mm Y-splitter adapter.
The splitter features a 3.5mm TRRS female input for the Micera cable and separates that combined signal into two 3.5mm TRS male connectors—one dedicated to headphone audio and the other dedicated to microphone input.
This gives you two connection options: connect the Micera cable directly to a device with a single headset jack, or attach the included splitter when using a desktop PC or other system with separate audio-out and microphone-in ports.
